The Location
Lyndon State College, Lyndonville, Vermont
Lyndon State College is located
in Vermont’s beautiful Northeast Kingdom, on a plateau which affords a
spectacular view of Burke Mountain and the Passumpsic Valley. Within an
hour’s drive from the campus are many other scenic attractions, such as
Lake Willoughby and Mount Washington with 
its world-famous cog railway. Participants
and staff are housed in private rooms in modern dormitories which contain
lounges suitable for ensemble playing. Several of the lounges are equipped
with pianos. Meals are served cafeteria style in the college’s modern
dining hall. The college library and athletic facilities are open to all
participants. Tennis courts and an all-weather swimming pool are available
on campus. The wooded area surrounding the campus offers trails for leisurely
hikes. Public beaches, riding academies, and a golf course are within
easy driving distance.
Transportation
Lyndonville is located on Interstate 91, nine miles north of St. Johnsbury. Airline service is available to Burlington, VT, and Lebanon, NH. Rental cars are available at both airports. VMAC does not provide limousine service. There is direct bus service from Boston to Littleton, NH, and train service from New York City to Montpelier, VT. Arrangements can be made to meet your bus or train if absolutely necessary.
